2026 Lake Michigan Charter Fishing Approaches

Here is our latest charter fishing update as of January 2026: We thank you for your interest in fishing with us! Our primary vessel, UNDERDOG, is fully booked for the 2026 season. However, our secondary vessel, DARK HORSE, operated by Captain Mark Kirsten, does have some availability remaining. Our 2026 season will begin around Memorial Day and we fish daily until roughly October 1. The most consistent fishing and most stable weather tends to be in the months of June, July, and early August. In June we are generally catching a good mix of Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, and King Salmon. In July and August, the catches are dominated by King Salmon and some Rainbow Trout. This continues into September, with the mature King Salmon starting to move up the tributaries, we continue catching Rainbows and silver Kings throughout the fall.
