The Impact of Covid-19 Coronavirus on our Lake Michigan Fishing Charters

As I said in my previous update, things are changing quickly. Since that post, we’ve entered, and been in a state-wide safer-at-home order. This order goes through May 24 according to Gov. Evers.

After the May 24 deadline, we’re hoping that restrictions are lifted to a point that allows us to operate our fishing charters starting June 1. There will clearly still be some major restrictions in place, especially against large gatherings of people in close proximity. We can accomodate up to 6 guests on our boat. Many times, those guests are from the same household, or only a couple of different households. It is looking like restrictions could be made against gatherings of 10 or more people, in which case we could be OPEN for business!

When Should I Book My Fishing Charter?

We are going to be ready to go starting June 1! We are still taking calls and bookings on a daily basis! We are being extremely flexible with our guests. We will reschedule as necessary, or refund deposits if we are unable to fish. Also, should things progress with Covid-19, and our guests just simply aren’t comfortable with going on their scheduled date, we are refunding deposits or rescheduling for a later date, no questions asked.

The best thing to do, if you’re interested in getting out fishing this summer, is to call now and reserve your date. You can do so in confidence that we are being extremely understanding and flexible as the future is still unknown at this time.

We’re looking forward to having everyone visit us here in Kewaunee for a memorable day of charter fishing on Lake Michigan with us! I will continue to update this site with new information. Take care and stay healthy!
